Job summary

Astranis is seeking a Software Defined Radio Hardware Intern for Winter 2027 in San Francisco. You will design, simulate, implement, and test SDR hardware, bring it up in the lab with high-end instruments, and write code to evaluate performance and automate tests. You will collaborate to integrate these systems with the spacecraft.

Internships last twelve weeks, open to four-year university students, with hourly pay of $29.00/hr and U.S. citizenship or eligible status required.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Demonstrated ability to design, build, and test PCBA hardware from scratch.
• Solid EE foundation in mixed signal design, RF design, or related areas.

Responsibilities

• Design, simulate, implement, and test internally developed SDR hardware.
• Bringup and debug hardware in the lab with instruments and equipment.
• Write code to evaluate performance and automate testing of satellite hardware.
• Integrate systems into the spacecraft by collaborating with the team.
