Job summary

Astranis is seeking a Software Defined Radio Hardware Intern for Winter 2027 in our Northern California offices. You will design, simulate, implement, and test our internally developed SDR hardware, bring it up with precision instruments, and write code to evaluate performance and automate testing of satellite hardware.

This twelve-week internship targets students currently enrolled in a four-year university.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience designing, building, and testing PCBA hardware.
• Strong fundamentals in analog, digital, mixed signal, and RF design.
• Hands-on lab experience with hardware bring-up and testing.

Responsibilities

• Design, simulate, implement, and test SDR hardware.
• Bring up and debug hardware in the lab.
• Write code to evaluate performance and automate tests.
• Integrate systems into the spacecraft with the team.
