Astranis is offering a Software Defined Radio Hardware Intern position for Winter 2027. As an intern you will design, simulate, implement and test SDR hardware, bring up hardware in lab, and write code to evaluate performance.

You must be pursuing an Electrical Engineering degree, have hands-on PCB design experience, and be comfortable working in a fast-paced lab environment. This paid hourly internship offers exposure to satellite hardware used on missions.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Demonstrated ability to design, build, and test PCBA hardware from scratch.
• Solid EE foundation in mixed signal and RF design.
• Hands-on lab experience in hardware development in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to learn and contribute to satellite SDR hardware.

Responsibilities

• Design, simulate, implement, and test our software defined radio hardware
• Bring up and debug hardware in the lab with top instruments
• Write code to evaluate performance and automate testing of satellite hardware
• Integrate these systems into the spacecraft by working closely with the rest of the team
