Job summary

AXA XL is seeking an SDI Claims Manager to lead a team handling high-exposure Subcontractor Default Insurance (SDI) claims for major construction contractors in the US. This role reports to the Head of Construction, Environmental Pollution & Energy Claims, Americas, and focuses on claim handling, analytics, client service, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

Oversee SDI claim processes including coverage, reserving, and loss reviews.
Manage audits and ensure Financial Internal Controls compliance across the team.
Develop claim analytics and data insights for underwriting and risk teams.
Collaborate on claim issues and trends with Underwriting and Risk Engineering.
Provide superior customer service to policyholders and brokers.
Lead subrogation efforts with cost-effective strategies.
Drive technology, process improvements and training needs for the unit.
Coach and develop the claims team with ongoing feedback.
