Job summary

Sony Interactive Entertainment is seeking a Software Development Engineer in Test for a 12-month contract to join the Client QA team. You will test new and existing features across platforms, build and maintain test automation, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure high quality releases.

We value experience with UI automation, Selenium/Appium, and CI systems as you help drive quality across PlayStation products.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field is required or equivalent knowledge.
2+ years experience in UI automation for web or native applications.
Validated experience in Software testing life cycle.
Experience with version control solutions (both centralized and distributed).
Experience maintaining CI systems (Jenkins preferred).
Experience with Selenium or Appium.
Experience in one or more programming/scripting languages, preferably Python.

Responsibilities

Review product requirements and design documents to create effective testing strategies.
Build concrete test plans, write test cases and execute them to ensure quality of features.
Implement and maintain test automation scripts to increase test coverage and stability.
Develop, maintain and improve test automation framework.
Report, track and verify defects as well as monitor Automation jobs.
Provide status reports to Leadership and other key partners.
Work with the infrastructure team to maintain common services such as CI test pipelines.
