Job summary

Sony Interactive Entertainment in San Mateo, California is seeking a Staff Software Development Engineer in Test to join our Client QA team. You will drive automation across UI, API, and end-to-end testing, mentor engineers, and shape the testing strategy for PlayStation mobile apps.

The role requires 8+ years in SDET/QA, strong Python/JavaScript skills, and experience with Playwright, Pytest, Appium, and Selenium.

Qualifications

• BS/MS in CS or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years in SDET, automation, or quality engineering roles.
• Proven experience leading mobile quality initiatives across multiple teams.
• Strong programming in Python or JavaScript.
• Experience with Playwright, Pytest, Appium, Selenium.
• CI/CD pipelines and release validation with Jenkins or similar.

Responsibilities

• Lead and influence overall QA strategy across PlayStation ecosystems.
• Define and evolve automation standards, CI/CD gates, and testing strategies.
• Design, build, and scale automation frameworks across UI, API, and end-to-end testing.
• Mentor SDETs and QEs on automation architecture and quality standards.
