Job summary

Amazon Robotics’ Autonomous Mobility team develops software powering Proteus, Amazon’s first fully autonomous mobile warehouse robot. We are growing and seek an experienced SDE to join the Fleet Management team in North Reading, MA.

As an engineer, you will design and implement services that allocate and track a fleet of autonomous vehicles, influence strategy, and collaborate with customers to test prototypes and gather feedback.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 2+ years of design/architecture experience for large-scale systems.
• 1+ years of software development experience in SDE roles.
• 1+ years designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered software.
• 1+ years of OO design experience.
• Experience with at least one major programming language.

Responsibilities

• Architect, design, and implement robotic applications and infrastructure.
• Influence strategy and roadmap for the Fleet Management team.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to iterate on design and implementation.
• Maintain high standards, participate in reviews, and improve reliability.
• Prototype and test concepts via simulation and live robots.
• Test prototypes with customers and partners and incorporate feedback.
• Mentor other engineers on the team.
