Job summary

Amazon Fulfillment Technologies (AFT) seeks a Software Development Engineer II for the Outbound & Flow team in Bellevue, WA. You will design, implement, test, and deliver scalable software that orchestrates workcells and customer orders across fulfillment centers, collaborating with product, science, and operations teams.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 2+ years in design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems.
• 1+ years of software development engineer or related occupational experience.
• 1+ years of designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded or distributed software applications, tools, systems, and services using: C#, C++, Java, or Perl.
• 1+ years of Object Oriented Design experience.
• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language.

Responsibilities

• Design and Build highly scaled and efficient solutions using AWS technologies and infrastructure.
• Own and maintain business-critical systems for Amazon that support hundreds of thousands of associates and millions of orders daily.
• Collaborate with Product, Science, Operations and other Tech teams to understand problems and iterate on solutions.
• Contribute beyond coding by exploring front-end, back-end, data analysis, and internal tools to solve customer problems.
• Participate in hiring, onboarding, and mentoring engineers while continually developing your own skills.
