Job summary

Amazon in the Arlington area is seeking a Software Development Engineer for Fulfillment Planning and Execution. You will design, build, and operate large-scale distributed systems that translate demand into actionable procurement and capacity plans across AWS infrastructure.

You will architect solutions to explain deviations, write high-quality code, and mentor engineers while collaborating with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, global environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of design or architecture experience for large systems.
• 3+ years of professional software development.
• 1+ years of distributed software systems experience.
• 1+ years of OO design experience.
• Experience programming in at least one major language.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate large-scale distributed systems for fulfillment planning.
• Architect solutions to detect and explain deviations between plans and execution.
• Write high-quality, modular, testable code and set engineering standards.
• Solve complex architecture problems with scalable AWS-based solutions.
• Mentor engineers on design, coding, and troubleshooting.
• Collaborate across demand planning, supply chain ops, and partner teams globally.
