Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a software developer to join the Desktop-As-A-Service team building the AWS WorkSpaces platform. You will own code end-to-end from design to development and work closely with senior engineers across the stack to deliver scalable, reliable desktop solutions.

You will collaborate in a diverse team, apply CS fundamentals, and help innovate in a massively scalable distributed system while maintaining an excellent work-life balance.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience.
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language.
• 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
• Experience contributing to the architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and current systems.

Responsibilities

• Engineer new solutions or enhance existing solutions that enable customers to have a great experience with our virtual desktop offerings; may require significant innovation where no solution exists in the industry.
