Job summary

Allina Health Mercy Hospital Unity Campus in Fridley, MN, is seeking a Nursing Assistant for the SCU and Intermediate Care unit. This 0.6 FTE position offers 12-hour day/night shifts and a 48-hour two-week schedule, with every third weekend rotation.

Under RN supervision, you will provide patient care, assist with activities of daily living, monitor vital signs, document data, and help maintain a safe, supportive environment for a small, focused patient team.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of CNA program or related clinical rotations.
• Current BLS certification from AHA or Red Cross, or in-house training within 30 days.
• Ability to follow care plans and document vital signs accurately.

Responsibilities

• Assist in delivery of patient care under RN supervision.
• Perform personal care tasks: feeding, bathing, grooming and positioning.
• Collect vital signs, document observations, and report changes promptly.
• Support fall prevention and safe transfer of patients using proper equipment.
• Prepare and transport supplies, medications per policy, and maintain a safe environment.
