Job summary

Allina Health is seeking a Nursing Assistant for the Observation Unit in Saint Paul, MN. Under RN supervision, you will provide personal care, monitor vital signs, and support patient comfort and safety in an 8-hour evening shift. The role includes every-other weekend rotations and 64 hours per two-week pay period.

This position requires CNA training or relevant clinical experience, with BLS certification or equivalent, and contributes to our mission of compassionate, whole-person care.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or 17 with a HS diploma or GED
• Must complete CNA program, clinical rotations, or Allina Health Nursing Assistant Academy
• Previous direct patient care experience appropriate for role

Responsibilities

• Assists in delivery of patient care under RN supervision, including feeding, bathing, dressing, grooming, mobility, and linen changes.
• Collects and documents vital signs and health observations.
• Responds to patient call lights promptly and assists with meals and hygiene.
• Assists with ambulation, transfers, positioning, and ROM as ordered.
• Participates in fall prevention and safety plans; reports any hazards or equipment issues.
