Qualifications

• Must meet one of the following: 18 years of age or 17 with a HS diploma or GED.
• Successful completion of CNA program or equivalent clinical rotations.
• Completion of Allina Health Nursing Assistant Academy Program or prior direct patient care
• Current BLS certification from AHA or Red Cross, or in-house training within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care such as feeding, bathing, dressing, grooming and hygiene.
• Collect and document vital signs and health observations.
• Assist with ambulation, transfers, ROM, and positioning per care plan.
• Answer call lights promptly and support patient comfort and safety.
• Assist with admissions, transfers and discharges under RN supervision.
• Follow equipment use, safety policies, and report hazards.
• Document accurately and maintain patient confidentiality.
