Job summary

Tate Inc. in Columbia, MD is seeking an experienced Scrum Master to support product development in a manufacturing and OEM environment.

You will drive day-to-day execution using Agile/Scrum, remove impediments, and coordinate cross-functional stakeholders to ensure on-time delivery and adherence to cost and specifications. With 3+ years of Scrum Master or similar experience, you will coach teams in Agile practices and manage dependencies across engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, Manufacturing, Business, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience as a Scrum Master, Agile Project Manager, or similar role.
• Hands-on experience applying Scrum within manufacturing, industrial, automotive, aerospace, or OEM product development.
• Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum frameworks and project delivery fundamentals.
• Proven ability to manage cross-functional teams and complex dependencies.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the Scrum Master for one or more product development teams, ensuring consistent application and adherence to Scrum principles and practices.
• Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, daily standups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
• Coach the team on Agile best practices, continuous improvement, and self-organization within a manufacturing/OEM context.
• Manage day-to-day project activities to ensure sprint goals are defined, tracked, and achieved.
• Partner with Product Owners and technical leads to ensure backlog readiness, prioritization, and alignment to program milestones.
• Monitor sprint progress, velocity, and risks, addressing issues that could impact delivery.
• Identify, escalate, and remove impediments that block team productivity or delivery.
• Coordinate with cross-functional managers and stakeholders to align priorities and ensure transparent communication.
• Track and report progress against milestones and deliverables.
• Reinforce disciplined execution while balancing Agile with manufacturing delivery requirements.
