Red Rabbit is seeking a Prep Cook in Philadelphia to join a fast-paced team responsible for scratch-made meals served to hundreds of students daily.

You will follow daily production menus, assist the Head Chef, and ensure portions meet recipes while maintaining strict food safety and cleanliness standards. This role offers daytime hours with weekends and holidays off, and the chance to impact nutrition in schools.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of professional culinary experience in high-volume settings.
• Demonstrated knowledge of proper food safety and sanitation practices.
• Must hold ServeSafe Certificate, with certification within 90 days of hire.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs and read/write English; bilingual in English/Spanish a plus.

Responsibilities

• Read production sheets to understand daily food quantities.
• Collaborate with Head Chef to prioritize production.
• Portion and weigh food per recipes and guidelines.
• Cook, cool, and plate food according to recipes and safety standards.
• Pack and distribute meals to students on schedule.
• Count and track food produced to minimize waste.
• Maintain DOH standards by cleaning workstations and equipment.
• Represent Red Rabbit values with professionalism and courtesy.
