Job summary

SA Recycling LLC in Wooster, OH, seeks an Inspector to manage customer inspections and paperwork for scrap loads. You will inspect and document loads, and guide traffic to the correct yard sites.

This outdoor role operates 7:30 am to 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday, with Saturdays as needed and overtime when required. The employer offers medical, dental, vision, life insurance, a 401k match, and weekly pay.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED Certification, or equivalent work experience.
• 1-year previous general labor in the scrap metal or construction industries preferred.
• Ability to use a computer tablet.
• Ability to carry out instructions provided in written, oral, or diagrammatic form.
• Ability to learn new tasks as assigned required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a broad and working knowledge of different types of ferrous and non-ferrous materials.
• Identify and grade inbound scrap and reject unacceptable items.
• Direct customer traffic to the appropriate collection sites.
• Inputs customer and scrap information into SA Recycling's customer database and completes inspection tickets.
• Observes all customer drop-offs for unacceptable items.
