Job summary

SA Recycling is seeking an Inspector to be the first point of contact with customers as they bring scrap materials into the yard. You will inspect and document loads, direct traffic to collection sites, and input data into the company database.

The role operates outdoors in varying weather and adheres to safety and environmental standards. Qualifications include a High School diploma or GED, 1 year of general labor experience preferred, and ability to use a tablet.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED or equivalent work experience.
• 1 year of general labor in the scrap metal or construction industries preferred.
• Ability to use a computer tablet.
• Bi-lingual English/Spanish a plus.
• Ability to follow written, oral, or diagrammatic instructions.
• Ability to learn new tasks as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and grade inbound scrap and reject unacceptable items.
• Direct customer traffic to the appropriate collection sites.
• Inputs customer and scrap information into SA Recycling’s customer database and completes inspection tickets.
• Observes all customer drop-offs for unacceptable items.
• Performs other general laborer duties as directed.
