Job summary

CBRE Group, Inc. is seeking a Scientific Experience Coordinator (SEC) to coordinate essential laboratory functions for a major pharmaceutical client. You will lead structured meetings, follow up on requests, and drive instrument uptime across cross-functional teams.

The role offers growth into technical aspects of the business, with emphasis on asset checks, CMMS-driven inventory, instrument tagging, and collaboration with QA to meet GLP requirements.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED with four years' related experience; pharma/GMP experience preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Prior customer service, administration, or project coordination experience.
  • Experience with CMMS, Microsoft Office, and basic data systems.
  • Knowledge of GxP and lab instrument services environment.

Responsibilities

  • Liaise with scientists, laboratory managers and account team regarding services required for essential laboratory and related business functions.
  • Serve as primary point of contact in laboratories for instrument needs.
  • Perform daily Level 1 asset checks to assess instrument challenges and communicate needs to technical and scheduling teams.
  • Perform daily checks on pending instrument installations, moves, and quality checks.
  • Support inventory verification using CMMS data.
  • Ensure accurate instrument tagging.
  • Analyze problematic work orders and coordinate with teams to drive solutions.
  • Train provider partners on technologies supporting instrument management.
  • Collaborate with Finance, Facilities, Lab Management/Operations, EHS, and others.
  • Adhere to GLP lab requirements and QA processes.

About the Role:

As Scientific Experience Coordinator (SEC), you will coordinate essential laboratory functions within a cross functional environment for a major pharmaceutical client. You'll be responsible for leading structured, tiered meetings and following up on all requests, efficiently meeting and advancing the business needs, and working closely with all members of the wider team to provide a proactive and focused approach to drive laboratory instrument up-time. Near term opportunity for growth into technical aspects of the business.



What You'll Do:


  • Liaise with scientists, laboratory managers and account team regarding services required for essential laboratory and related business functions.

  • Serve as primary point of contact in laboratories for instrument needs

  • Perform daily Level 1 asset checks to assess any challenges and/or issues with instruments and communicate needs to technical and scheduling teams

  • Perform daily checks on pending instrument installations, moves, and quality checks

  • Support inventory verification efforts leveraging CMMS data

  • Ensure accurate instrument tagging

  • Analyze problematic work orders, pin-point problem areas and liaise with technical and coordinator teams to drive solutions

  • Support and train provider partners on technologies supporting instrument management,

  • Collaborate and communicate with multiple departments i.e. Finance, Facilities, Lab Management/Operations, EHS, etc.

  • Work with QA team and follow GLP lab requirements.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.



What You'll Need:


  • High School Diploma or general education degree (GED) required and a minimum of four years of related experience or equivalent work experience; pharmaceutical and/or GMP experience.

  • Bachelors degree preferred

  • Previous customer service, administration, or project coordinator experience preferred.

  • Experience with CMMS systems, Desktop publishing, Microsoft Office Suite, and Online Help.

  • Knowledge of GxP and understanding of a lab instrument services environment.

  • Experience working with databases and/or systems.

  • Strong Project Management capabilities.

  • Ability to comprehend and interpret instructions, short correspondence, and memos and ask clarifying questions to ensure understanding. Ability to write routine correspondence. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from clients, co-workers, and/or supervisor. Ability to effectively present information to an internal department and/or large groups of employees.

  • Requires basic knowledge of financial terms and principles. Ability to calculate simple figures such as percentages.

  • Ability to understand and carry out general instructions in standard situations. Ability to solve problems in standard situations. Requires basic analytical skills.
