Job summary

Acceleration Academies is seeking a Science Teacher to serve as the primary instructional resource for Graduation Candidates, delivering competency-based science content and supporting personalized learning toward graduation and post-secondary success.

You will work with a collaborative team to provide academic, social-emotional, and career-oriented support, helping students progress toward mastery and graduation in a non-traditional setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred.
• SC 9-12 certification in Science or Biology required.
• 2+ years of high school teaching experience.

Responsibilities

• Enroll new GC through recruitment and engagement efforts.
• Develop Personalized Learning Plans for GCs.
• Advise GCs; maintain communication with learners and support team.
• Monitor attendance and progress; ensure engagement.
• Deliver content-area instruction in individual and small-group settings.
• Use formative and summative assessments to track progress.
• Provide remediation and enrichment to address learning gaps.
