Job summary

Acceleration Academies is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to serve Graduation Candidates, delivering competency-based content and guiding students toward graduation and post-secondary success. You’ll collaborate with a team to provide academic, social-emotional, and career-oriented support that empowers each learner’s journey.

The role is onsite at Cincinnati Acceleration Academy, with a strong emphasis on enrollment support, personalized plans, progress monitoring, and data-driven

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Focus on inclusivity and collaboration.
• Experience teaching high school preferred (2+ years).

Responsibilities

• Support new student enrollment through recruitment and outreach.
• Create Personalized Learning Plans tailored to each student’s needs and goals.
• Advise students by maintaining open communication with them and their support team.
• Monitor attendance and progress; ensure engagement and success across courses.
• Deliver instruction in both individual and group settings; help students stay on track to complete courses and master material.
• Conduct ongoing formative assessments and final summatives to adjust teaching methods.
• Analyze data to inform instructional decisions and improve student outcomes.
• Understand and document IEPs, ELL accommodations, and related processes; participate in required meetings.
