Job summary

Acceleration Academies seeks a ScienceContent Coach to serve as the primary instructional resource for Graduation Candidates, delivering competency-based content and guiding students toward graduation and post-secondary success.

You will collaborate with a team to provide academic, social-emotional, and career-oriented support, helping each learner progress toward their goals in a flexible, student-centered program.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred.
• Texas 7-12 certification in Science/Life Science or Physical Science is REQUIRED.
• 2+ years of high school teaching experience.
• Strong communication, time management, instructional planning, and collaboration skills.
• Passion for helping at-risk youth succeed academically and personally.

Responsibilities

• Support new GC enrollment through recruitment and engagement efforts.
• Assist with the development of Personalized Learning Plans for GCs.
• Advise GCs by maintaining communication with learners and their support team.
• Monitor attendance, progress, and wellness to ensure engagement and achievement.
• Plan and deliver instruction in individual and small-group settings.
• Monitor progress toward course completion using formatively and summatively assessments.
• Use academic data to inform instruction and improve outcomes.
• Provide remediation and enrichment to address learning gaps and accelerate success.
• Participate in professional development and school/community events.
