Job summary

Summit K12 is seeking an experienced educator to join our Dynamic Science Professional Development team as an Instructional Support Specialist. The role delivers high-quality, in-person and virtual professional development to teachers and school leaders implementing our science solutions.

Ideal candidates have a strong background in teaching, coaching, or leadership, with deep expertise in 3-dimensional science instruction and evidence-based practices.

Qualifications

• 5+ years Science teaching experience leading sustained coaching sessions and professional development for educators in K-12.
• Ability to analyze data and use it to inform practice, and get results.
• Proficiency in providing support to educators through online and onsite learning experiences.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, conduct, and facilitate online and on-site professional development.
• Ensure educators implement evidence-based practices aligned to Summit K12 solutions.
• Become an expert in Dynamic Science and our online science solution.
• Leverage data dashboards to analyze and present metrics on student outcomes.
• Train leaders to monitor progress and make data-driven decisions.
• Maintain flexibility in a fast-paced environment.
• Pursue continuous learning and stay updated on best practices.
• Provide LMS navigational support and coaching sessions.
• Seek feedback and adapt practices to improve outcomes.
• Collaborate across teams to ensure high-quality materials and methods.
