Job summary

Summit K12 is seeking an experienced educator to join our Dynamic Science Professional Development Team as an Instructional Support Specialist. In this role, you will deliver high-quality, in-person and virtual professional development to teachers and school leaders implementing our science solutions.

Ideal candidates bring a strong background in teaching, instructional coaching, or school leadership, along with deep expertise in 3-dimensional science instruction and evidence-based teaching

Qualifications

• Passionate about science instruction and helping students connect phenomena to the world.
• Understanding of best practices for multilingual learners.
• 5+ years of Science teaching experience with sustained coaching and PD.
• Ability to analyze data and use it to inform practice.
• Proficient in online and onsite learning support for educators.
• Strong time management amidst competing priorities.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google applications.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and facilitate online and on-site professional development learning on Summit K12 solutions.
• Help teachers and leaders implement evidence-based practices aligned to our solution.
• Become an expert in our Dynamics Science solution.
• Leverage data dashboards to analyze and present key metrics of impact.
• Train leaders to monitor progress and make data-driven decisions.
• Provide LMS navigational support and coaching sessions.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure high-quality learning materials.
• Promote classroom equity through tailored professional development sessions.
