Job summary

Summit Public Schools is seeking an energetic Social Science Teacher to join a mission-driven network serving diverse students. You will lead project-based instruction, mentor small groups daily, and contribute to a culture of inclusive excellence across campuses in the Bay Area and Washington state.

You will use Summit’s common curriculum, assess student progress, and support all learners toward a fulfilled life. The role emphasizes collaboration, growth mindset, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Teaching credential in Washington or another US state.
• Master’s degree in Education preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Teach 90-minute blocks in high school or four 55-minute blocks in middle school per day.
• Facilitate deep student learning experiences and apply content to real-world situations.
• Analyze student progress data to tailor supports and feedback.
• Build mentor relationships and guide mentees daily.
• Lead collaboration and professional development with faculty.
