Job summary

Mad Science Group in Wisconsin is hiring part-time instructors to teach fun, hands-on science workshops after school and on weekends. We provide all supplies, curriculum, and support; you’ll bring energy, creativity, and a love of STEM to K-5 students in a classroom or outdoor setting.

Most programs run 2:30-5:30 PM on weekdays, with weekend hours available. Pay ranges from $40-50 per one-hour class, plus setup/teardown; mileage reimbursement helps when you travel to schools, daycares, or parks.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal communication and ability to engage children
• Passion for science, teaching and/or acting
• Own or have regular access to a car
• Flexible, self-motivated with ability to work autonomously
• Comfort with non-traditional, gig-economy schedules

Responsibilities

• Lead a one-hour science lesson at schools, daycares, or parks
• Deliver engaging, hands-on science experiences to K-5 students
• Travel to lesson locations; mileage reimbursed by the program
