Job summary

Mad Science of Pittsburgh is seeking additional Mad Scientists for elementary school programs in and around Pittsburgh. You will lead hands-on, fun science activities for students in grades K-5 after school, typically 2–4 pm, with programs scheduled 1–4 days per week.

Training is provided and no science background is required. Compensation includes $45 per session and $15 per hour for training, with opportunities for additional in-class workshops, assemblies, and weekend events.

Qualifications

• Must have experience working with children, ideally in a classroom setting.
• After-school sessions are 1 hour; 2–4 pm start times.
• School workshops and weekend events may be offered as optional work.

Responsibilities

• Lead after-school science activities for grades K-5.
• Coordinate with schools, parents, and Mad Science staff.
• Ensure safety and proper use of all equipment.
