Job summary

Eccalon LLC is seeking an experienced Science Hiring Manager to lead recruitment for research laboratories, clinical trials, and bench-based scientific teams in Detroit, MI. The role requires partnering with scientists, lab leadership, and clinical operations to define roles, design assessments, and drive compliant hiring processes.

Responsibilities include end-to-end strategy, regulatory alignment (GxP, IRB, FDA), and collaboration with HR to build strong candidate pipelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Biological Sciences, Chemistry, Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in technical or scientific hiring roles.
• Experience hiring for research laboratories, bench-based scientific teams, and clinical research environments.
• Strong understanding of laboratory and clinical research environments.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end hiring strategy for research, clinical, and laboratory-based roles.
• Partner with R&D, Lab Directors, and Clinical Operations to understand staffing needs.
• Translate experimental, clinical, and operational requirements into effective role definitions.
• Plan hiring aligned with research milestones, clinical trial timelines, and lab capacity.
• Design interview frameworks tailored to scientific and clinical roles; evaluate technical competencies, trial operations, and data practices.
• Ensure hiring aligns with regulatory frameworks (GxP, IRB, FDA, safety standards).
• Collaborate with HR and Talent Acquisition to maintain pipelines and candidate experience.
