Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 7+ years of software engineering, platform engineering, or technical leadership.
• Proven experience as a hiring manager for software engineers and technical roles.
• Deep understanding of modern software systems and platforms, including distributed systems, cloud-native platforms, data-intensive high-availability systems.
• Strong knowledge of software architecture, backend and platform engineering concepts, API design, microservices, and event-driven systems.
• Familiarity with scalability, reliability, observability, and security concerns.
• Knowledge of common programming languages, frameworks, and engineering tools.

Responsibilities

• Own and drive end-to-end technical hiring strategies for software engineers and technical roles.
• Partner with Engineering and Product leadership to forecast hiring needs.
• Define hiring priorities based on platform complexity and roadmap.
• Establish high-bar technical hiring standards across teams.
• Design and oversee interview frameworks for system design and platform thinking.
• Conduct technical interviews on architecture, scalability, and code quality.
• Act as advisor on role definition, leveling, and scope.
• Improve hiring processes for fairness and quality.
• Collaborate with HR and recruiters on candidate experience and pipeline health.
• Track hiring outcomes and iterate on interview quality.
