Job summary

Rohrer Bus, based in Duncannon, PA, is seeking a School Van Driver to transport students for Northern York County School District. You will drive routes safely, perform vehicle checks, and coordinate with school staff to ensure timely, secure transportation.

Requirements include a 3+ year driving history, a clean background, and the ability to pass medical and drug screenings. Familiarity with Samsara and Dayforce is preferred.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license with at least 3 years of satisfactory driving history.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Must pass a comprehensive background check and pre-employment drug screening.
• Medical: Ability to pass initial and routine physical examinations and drug/alcohol screening.
• Familiar with Samsara GPS/vehicle tracking and Dayforce scheduling/HR systems.

Responsibilities

• Transport students safely and courteously per traffic laws and local policies.
• Follow assigned routes and schedules for pickups and drop-offs.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip safety checks on the vehicle.
• Maintain a safe, orderly passenger environment and report issues in writing.
• Assist students in boarding/alighting and secure mobility devices as needed.
• Report delays, defects, or incidents to dispatch and management.
• Attend required safety and training meetings and drills.
