Job summary

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license with a minimum of 3 years of satisfactory driving history.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Must pass a comprehensive background check and pre-employment drug screening.
• Ability to pass initial and routine physical examinations and drug/alcohol screening programs.
• Familiarity with fleet technology systems such as Samsara and Dayforce.

Responsibilities

• Transport students safely and courteously in accordance with all traffic laws, DOT regulations, and local policies.
• Route Navigation: Follow assigned routes and schedules to pick up and drop off students at designated stops.
• Vehicle Safety Inspections: Conduct pre-trip and post-trip safety checks of the vehicle, including lights, brakes, tires, and emergency exits.
• Passenger Management: Maintain a safe, orderly environment inside the vehicle; report issues in writing per district policy.
• Loading & Unloading: Assist students in boarding and exiting the vehicle, including securing mobility devices.
