Job summary

Rohrer Bus in Duncannon, PA, seeks a School Van Driver to transport students safely and on schedule, following all traffic laws, DOT regulations, and district policies. The role focuses on punctual, professional service for daily school routes.

You will perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections, assist students boarding and exiting, manage passengers, and report incidents promptly. A clean driving record, background check, and drug screening are required, with training on Samsara and Dayforce.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license with a minimum of 3 years of satisfactory driving history.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Must pass a comprehensive background check and pre-employment drug screening.
• Medical: Ability to pass initial and routine physical examinations and drug/alcohol screening programs.
• Comfortable using fleet and workforce technology systems such as Samsara and Dayforce.

Responsibilities

• Transport students safely and courteously per laws and policies.
• Follow assigned routes and schedules for pickup and drop-off.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle safety inspections.
• Maintain a safe, orderly in-vehicle environment and report issues in writing.
• Assist with loading/unloading and secure mobility devices as needed.
• Report delays, defects, or incidents to dispatch immediately.
• Attend required safety meetings and drills per policy.
