Job summary

Rohrer Bus in Duncannon, PA, is seeking a School Van Driver responsible for safe, timely transportation of students to and from school. You will follow routes, perform safety checks, and ensure a courteous, orderly ride while complying with district policies and DOT regulations.

The role requires a valid driver's license, background check, and ability to pass drug screening. Experience with Samsara and Dayforce is a plus; dress professionally and communicate effectively with school personnel.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license with at least 3 years of satisfactory driving history.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Must pass a background check and pre-employment drug screening.
• Ability to pass physical examinations and drug/alcohol screening.
• Comfortable using Samsara GPS/vehicle tracking and Dayforce scheduling systems.

Responsibilities

• Transport students safely and courteously in accordance with laws and policies.
• Follow assigned routes and schedules to pick up and drop off students.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip safety inspections of the vehicle.
• Maintain a safe, orderly passenger environment and report issues in writing.
• Assist students boarding and exiting; secure mobility devices as needed.
• Immediately report delays, defects, or incidents to dispatch and management.
• Attend safety trainings and conduct emergency drills as required.
