Job summary

Rohrer Bus in Duncannon, PA, seeks a reliable School Van Driver responsible for the safe transport of students to and from school. Duties include following routes, conducting vehicle safety checks, and maintaining order inside the vehicle.

The role requires a valid driver's license with at least 3 years of driving history, willingness to pass background checks and drug screening, and the ability to operate fleet technology such as Samsara and Dayforce. Training provided as needed.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license with a minimum of 3 years of satisfactory driving history.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Must pass a comprehensive background check and pre-employment drug screening.
• Medical: ability to pass initial and routine physical examinations and drug/alcohol screening programs.
• Familiar with fleet and workforce technology systems such as Samsara and Dayforce or willing to learn.

Responsibilities

• Transport students safely and courteously following traffic laws and policies.
• Follow routes and schedules to pick up and drop off students at designated stops.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip safety inspections of the vehicle and report issues.
• Maintain a safe, orderly environment inside the vehicle and enforce safety rules.
• Assist students boarding and exiting, including securing mobility devices as required.
• Report delays, defects, or incidents to dispatch and management immediately.
• Attend safety and training meetings and participate in drills as required by policy.
