Job summary

Francis Howell School District in O'Fallon, MO seeks a Dispatcher to develop and maintain safe, efficient bus routes in accordance with state, federal, and district guidelines. You will collaborate with drivers, monitors, and transportation staff to coordinate daily operations, update route information, and meet staffing and scheduling needs.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, experience with increasing responsibilities, and strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Experience with transportation operations is helpful.
• Ability to read and interpret routing information.

Responsibilities

• Assign standby drivers and monitors to routes to ensure staffing requirements are met.
• Assist drivers with questions on routes, clock-in/out times, and daily tools.
• Assist with other Transportation Department duties, including driving routes and serving as a bus monitor.
• Communicate with administrators, staff, parents, and community members to provide information.
