Job summary

Pike Road Board of Education is seeking a School Based Technology Support Specialist to assist with classroom technology, Chromebooks, and related equipment at Pike Road Schools. You will support teachers and students, manage devices, and help ensure secure, effective use of technology across the campus.

The role involves coordinating with the Technology Department and principals, maintaining device inventories, and participating in district technology meetings and PD sessions.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Must meet background clearance requirements as specified by Alabama Statutes and State Board of Education regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide first-level tech support by troubleshooting classroom devices (Chromebooks, teacher/staff devices, copiers).
• Promote ethical and effective use of technology in classrooms and staff spaces.
• Assist with onboarding and training of new staff, including network access, email, and instructional tools.
