Job summary

Unionville High School in the Unionville-Chadds Ford School District seeks a Technology Technician to manage building-level infrastructure and support teachers, staff, and students. The role includes district-wide IT responsibilities, live streaming, AV production, and ongoing IT inventory management.

The position covers 8 hours per day, 260 days per year, with benefits eligibility. Start date is available immediately; strong collaboration skills and experience with Google Workspace are

Qualifications

• High School Diploma with training in the computer field; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in computers preferred.
• Advanced skills with Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, and email systems.
• Excellent time management skills; ability to prioritize work and deliver organized projects on time.
• Superior organizational skills; ability to handle frequent interruptions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
• Knowledge of office procedures and IT inventory practices.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to work collaboratively with varied stakeholders, including teachers, staff, students, administrators, and parents.
• Ability to assess a situation and problem-solve.
• Must complete and maintain compliance with all federal and state background and criminal record check requirements.
• Candidate must adhere to all local, state, federal, and school code requirements for employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide first-level troubleshooting and repair of networked items, peripherals, and AV equipment.
• Develop standard computer images for the school and update/re-image annually.
• Support printers and other peripherals; install Smartboards and projectors.
• Maintain building inventory and run/terminate network cabling.
• Manage Student 1:1 devices and labs; repair and set up Chromebooks.
• Attend meetings and communicate issues with the principal and staff; coordinate IT activities.
• Work with the principal to maintain compliance with IT policies and Acceptable Use Policy.
• Handle IT/AV supplies; place orders for IT needs; support budget planning.
• Support staff devices (MacBooks, Windows laptops, iPads, Chromebooks, document cameras).
• Provide staff training on IT/AV resources and assist with events when needed.
• Take photos/videos for events and assist with technology integration.
