Job summary

ProCare Therapy seeks a School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist in Illinois to support high school students with speech and language needs. The role is contract, full‑time or part‑time with start as soon as possible through late May 2026, offering a meaningful, long‑term opportunity in a collaborative educational setting.

You will manage a dynamic caseload, with up to about 60 students full‑time and an initial count around 30.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology is required.
  • Current, active IL SLP license and PEL are required.
  • CCC-SLP certification is required.
  • School-based SLP experience preferred, especially in secondary settings.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational and communication skills are essential.
  • Commitment to inclusive, student-focused practices.
  • Must provide verification of credentials via Illinois State Board of Education educator search.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments.
  • Develop and implement effective IEPs.
  • Deliver both direct and consultative services to high school-aged students.
  • Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to optimize student progress.
  • Maintain all required documentation in a timely manner.

Job description

Step into a rewarding role supporting high school students with speech and language needs in a welcoming educational environment near Aurora, Illinois. This contract position offers both full‑time and part‑time options, allowing you to tailor your schedule to your availability. The assignment begins as soon as possible and continues through late May 2026, providing a long‑term opportunity to make a meaningful difference.

As a valued member of the school‑based team, youll work with a dynamic high school caseload. Full‑time caseloads may reach up to 60 students, with an anticipated initial count of around 30 students, ensuring manageable and impactful service delivery. Daily staff hours run from 7:55 AM to 3:25 PM, supporting your work‑life balance.

Qualifications and Required Experience:
  • Masters degree in Speech‑Language Pathology
  • Current, active IL SLP license and Professional Educator License (PEL)
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech‑Language Pathology (CCC‑SLP)
  • School‑based SLP experience preferred, especially in secondary settings
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
  • Commitment to inclusive, student‑focused practices
  • Must be able to provide verification of credentials via Illinois State Board of Education educator search
