ProCare Therapy is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist for maternity leave coverage in Illinois. Positions support students across elementary, middle, and high school, starting late Oct/early Nov through May 2027. IL licensure, IL PEL, and CCC-SLP preferred, with CFY considered.

Roles require collaboration with educators and families in school-based settings. Two full-time maternity leave contracts offer opportunities to apply expertise in diverse classrooms while delivering IEP-driven

Qualifications

  • Illinois licensure as Speech-Language Pathologist required.
  • Professional Educator License (PEL) in Illinois required.
  • ASHA CCC-SLP credential strongly preferred.
  • Consideration for SLP-CFs.
  • Prior school-based experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver speech and language therapy services to students per IEPs.
  • Caseload includes middle and elementary and high school assignments.
  • Assess, diagnose, and document speech, language, and communication disorders.
  • Collaborate with teachers, special educators, and parents on intervention strategies.
  • Participate in IEP meetings, progress monitoring, and team consultations.
  • Maintain detailed session notes and compliant documentation.

Job description

Bring your expertise as a Speech-Language Pathologist to a vibrant educational community supporting students communication growth. Two exciting maternity leave contract positions are available, offering opportunities to positively impact students across grade levels. These roles begin in late October/Early November and December, continuing through to May 2027.

What youll bring:
  • Illinois licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist
  • Professional Educator License (PEL) in Illinois
  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) strongly preferred
  • Consideration for strong Clinical Fellows (SLP-CFs)
  • Previous experience in school-based settings
  • Flexibility and collaborative communication skills
  • Ability to tailor interventions for diverse student populations
What youll do:
  • Deliver speech and language therapy services to students in accordance with Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
  • Caseload for the first assignment includes both a middle school and an elementary school; the second assignment serves high school students
  • Assess, diagnose, and document speech, language, and communication disorders
  • Collaborate with teachers, special educators, and parents to develop student-centered intervention strategies
  • Participate in IEP meetings, progress monitoring, and team consultations
  • Maintain detailed session notes and timely, compliant documentation
