Job summary

Wayne County Schools Employment Network is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist to evaluate and support students, develop IEPs, and collaborate with families and staff in an urban public school setting.

The role requires a Master's in Speech-Language Pathology, ASHA CCC-SLP, and Michigan SLP licensure, with CFY considered for CCC-SLP. Experience in urban districts is a plus; on-site work in Michigan.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• ASHA CCC-SLP certification.
• Michigan SLP license issued by the Michigan Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs (LARA).
• CFY with supervision leading to CCC-SLP considered.
• Michigan Teaching Certificate with SB endorsement or Temporary Teaching Authorization with SB endorsement.
• Experience in an urban public school district is a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate students to determine eligibility for special education and conduct evaluations using multiple data sources.
• Interpret evaluation findings for parents and school staff.
• Develop and implement IEPs and SMART therapy goals aligned to standards.
• Create and maintain a conducive learning environment and counsel stakeholders.
• Collaborate with parents, staff, and other professionals on RtI and related interventions.
• Maintain accurate records and participate in trainings and staff meetings.
