Job summary

Sweetwater Care in California is seeking an experienced, full-time School Social Worker to support a campus for the 2023-2024 school year. The ideal candidate will collaborate with families, school staff, and community agencies to alleviate adverse conditions and promote academic success for all students.

Qualifications

Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling or related field required.
Possession of a Pupil Personnel Credential under the social work program.

Responsibilities

Serve as liaison between the school and families.
Confer with school personnel to share home-related information to aid student support.
Assist with attendance-related matters for students.
Maintain effective relationships with students, parents and staff.
Assist in assessing students’ needs and refer to community resources when needed.
Participate on Child Study, Eligibility, and Crisis Intervention teams to plan supports.
Consult with staff, parents, and others to foster student growth and development.
Maintain accurate case records and documentation.
