Job summary

Sweetwater Care in California is seeking an experienced School Psychologist to join our leadership team. You will work to meet the needs of all students, provide academic advising and support socialization, and partner with school leaders and Special Education teams to deliver professional development.

You will conduct psycho-educational evaluations, counsel students, parents, and staff, observe in classrooms, and contribute to IEP planning and program development, ensuring compliance with state

Qualifications

• Master's degree in educational or clinical psychology required, with at least one year internship.
• Valid California School Psychologist Credential.

Responsibilities

• Provide psychological counseling to students, parents, and staff.
• Conduct psycho-educational evaluations of students identified or suspected of disabilities and develop findings reports.
• Provide counseling and refer to community resources as needed.
• Observe pupils in classrooms and other school settings.
• Serve as member of the IEP team for students with psychological concerns.
• Facilitate goals and objectives per child’s educational plan.
• Administer and evaluate standardized tests to assess development when needed.
• Maintain appropriate records.
• Coordinate with school personnel and parents to develop appropriate programs for eligible students.
• Ensure services comply with state laws and regulations.
• Fulfill other school psychologist needs as they arise.
