Job summary

Applitrack in the United States is seeking a Student Support Services/Social Worker to provide supportive services for students and families and address school concerns.

You will collaborate with school staff, conduct home visits as needed, and lead group sessions and parent training while maintaining confidentiality and accurate recordkeeping. A WV social work license and a BS/W LISW are required. Experience in school settings is preferred.

Qualifications

• BSW or LISW degree in Social Work and possession of a valid Social Worker license.
• Graduation from an accredited college or university in social work.
• Minimum of 3 years' experience preferred.
• Knowledge of school-based social work practices.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate supportive services for students and families to address school concerns.
• Establish community connections to benefit staff, students and parents.
• Provide a variety of professional social work services to students and families.
• Provide guidance and consultation regarding social work related matters.
• Identify and assess sources of academic problems in school, home and community.
• Function as a liaison between family and school regarding educational needs and social-emotional progress.
• May require conducting home visits and limited travel in school communities.
• Collaborate with school counselor and staff to provide group counseling and parent training.
• Maintain records, files and associated paperwork accurately and timely.
• Maintain confidentiality.
