Job summary

Southern Avenue Charter School of Academic Excellence Creati seeks a Licensed Social Worker (LSW) to deliver comprehensive social work services that support students' academic achievement and well-being. The role involves collaboration with admins, teachers, counselors, and families to identify barriers and provide interventions, crisis support, and referrals.

The LSW will maintain documentation, participate in multidisciplinary teams, and promote a safe, equitable school environment for K–5

Qualifications

• Master's in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited institution.
• Active Tennessee social work licensure appropriate to the position (LSW or equivalent).
• Experience with school-age populations and families preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group social work services to students with academic, behavioral, social, or family challenges.
• Coordinate services through MTSS/RTI, IEPs, 504 plans, and other meetings.
• Conduct crisis intervention and support for students in distress.
• Develop and implement intervention plans and monitor progress.
• Engage families to connect them with school and community resources.
• Maintain confidential records and documentation in compliance with laws and policies.
