Job summary

Under the supervision of the Building Administrator and Coordinator of School Social Work, you will collaborate with families, school staff, and community agencies; assist in referrals, develop IEPs/504 plans, monitor attendance, and provide counseling as needed.

Qualifications

• Masters of social work from an accredited school with 60 graduate hours.
• Supervised practicum or field experience of 400 clock hours.
• Virginia Department of Education School Social Work license or eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Serve as liaison between home, school and family.
• Refer students and families to community resources.
• Consult with staff and parents to support student growth and adjustment.
• Assist in development and revision of IEPs/504 plans and other interventions.
• Maintain confidential records and coordinate with committees.
