Job summary

Specialized Education Services, Inc. (SESI) is seeking a licensed social worker to support K-12 students with additional needs within in-district classrooms or stand-alone programs.

You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and families to deliver counseling services aligned with IEP/BIP goals. The role emphasizes social-emotional development, data-driven interventions, and effective behavior management.

Qualifications

• Licensed or license-eligible in relevant jurisdictions (LPC/LCPC/LCSW/LMSW/LMFT/LMHC).
• Master’s degree in social work, human services, or related field.
• Experience with children/adolescents in school, special education, or behavior health settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work with diverse students from varied backgrounds to provide social-emotional counseling.
• Provide individual, group, or in-school counseling per IEP/BIP.
• Collaborate on IEPs including social-emotional goals and meetings.
• Complete social-emotional assessments and develop behavior plans.
• Implement behavior management and de-escalation strategies to ensure safety.
• Support social-emotional learning through targeted curricula and programs.
• Provide in-service training with teams including clinical staff.
• Collaborate with external partners to support students and families.
• Maintain student files per regulatory requirements.
