Job summary

Allied Universal, Ashburn, VA, is seeking a Security Officer Full Time Patrol Customer Relations to safeguard clients and provide excellent customer service in a school setting. You will perform routine patrols, deter incidents, and maintain a welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors.

Role requires strong communication, incident reporting, and adherence to procedures. ARMED positions not applicable; background check and compliance apply.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• A valid guard card or license is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and community members by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control practices, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical situations, and other critical events in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and notification procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of school buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to identify and report unusual activity, hazards, or policy concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, assisting with adherence to school-entry procedures and directing individuals to appropriate locations.
• Prepare clear, accurate incident reports and communicate observations to school personnel, Allied Universal leadership, and responding public-service agencies as needed.
