Job summary

Allied Universal in Ashburn, VA is seeking a Security Officer for a full-time boundary inspection patrol at an educational location. Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A guard card/license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors and community members while following security procedures and site policies.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of school buildings, parking areas, grounds, and perimeter areas.
• Monitor entrances, exits and access points; verify visitor authorization and report suspicious activity.
• Respond to incidents, alarms and critical situations calmly and report to appropriate personnel.
• Document patrol activity, observations and incidents through written or electronic reports.
