Job summary

Allied Universal in Ashburn, VA is hiring a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol to safeguard students, staff and visitors at an educational government location. The role focuses on visible deterrence, routine patrols, and rapid response to incidents while delivering outstanding customer service and clear communication.

This full-time position offers a pay rate of $18.87 per hour, standard daytime shifts, and opportunities for training, advancement, and benefits within a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• CPR certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and school community members by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, student-related concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and reporting requirements.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of school buildings, grounds, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with directing guests, and communicate observations or concerns to appropriate school personnel and/or Allied Universal leadership.
• Prepare accurate activity, incident, and daily report documentation in accordance with site-specific procedures.
