Job summary

Middleborough Public Schools seeks an educational professional to administer and interpret comprehensive psycho-educational assessments for designated students at the assigned level. The role includes evaluating cognitive, academic, social, and behavioral-emotional factors to inform planning.

The candidate will collaborate with school staff, communicate with families, participate in CST and MTSS initiatives, and contribute to developmental reviews and behavior planning as needed.

Responsibilities

• Administer and interpret comprehensive psycho-educational assessments (cognitive, academic, social, and/or behavioral emotional) for designated students.
• Assess students referred for school counseling or social skills intervention and provide intervention, including staff/parent consultation and referral to outside agencies when needed.
• Communicate clearly with school personnel, parents, and community resources while maintaining confidential and professional relationships.
• Participate actively in Team Meetings and assist Special Education Coordinator or act as Team Chairperson when required.
• Participate in Building Child Study Team (CST) and with Response to Intervention/Massachusetts Tiered Systems of Support initiatives.
• Develop/oversee Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBAs) and Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs).
• Conduct classroom and program observations when necessary.
• Complete other duties as reasonably assigned by the Building Principal and Director of Pupil Personnel Services
