Job summary

Orenda Charter School District is seeking a licensed diagnostician/school psychologist to implement the special education assessment process and determine eligibility for services. You will work with instructional staff to tailor programs for students with disabilities.

The role requires mastery of assessment procedures, ARD participation, and collaboration with families, with a focus on compliant reporting and data-driven decisions.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or Specialist in psychology from an accredited college or university.
• Valid Texas license as a licensed specialist in school psychology (LSSP) / School Psychologist or Trainee Status Letter.
• Valid Texas Driver's License.
• Master's Degree with a Valid Texas educational diagnostician certificate.

Responsibilities

• Assess students referred for special education services using standardized tests and observations.
• Prepare and coordinate ARD meetings and IEP development.
• Score, interpret, and document assessment data for eligibility decisions.
• Provide consultation to teachers and parents on assessment results and education planning.
• Maintain records and ensure compliance with state and federal guidelines.
